Thriving hub plans for mothballed community centre

A LONG-mothballed community centre is open again after being taken over by a new social enterprise who hope to turn it into a thriving hub.

Brecks Community Hub was relaunched last Saturday with an open day offering tours and an overview of the activities that will be on offer.

At the helm is Jodie Goodall (pictured), who began running fitness classes at the centre on Brecks Crescent and widened her ambitions to include other uses.

Activities offers so far include pilates, salsa and first aid, and there is a trade and craft fair at the venue next Saturday, March 26, from 11am to 3pm.
