POLICE made a third arrest after shots were fired in Rawmarsh in the early hours of yesterday (Thursday).

Officers attended the junction of Kilnhurst Road and Lime Tree Crescent shortly before 2.10am.

A 36-year-old man from Rotherham was arrested and has since been released on bail.

A 46-year-old man has also been released on bail following his arrest. A 34-year-old woman has been released under investigation.

Det Chief Insp Paul Murphy, from the armed crime team, said: “Our officers will remain in the area while we continue our investigations. 

“If you see an officer and have any questions or concerns, please know they are there to support you and will be happy to answer your questions.

“As we continue our investigations, it’s vital that those with information come forward to report it.

“We are doing everything we can to bring those responsible to justice but your support is vital.”
