Men bailed in Cross Keys probe as police confirm cannabis found

FOUR men arrested in relation to an incident linked to a disused town centre pub have been bailed.

Police have confirmed a suspected cannabis farm was discovered at the former Cross Keys pub in The Crofts.

The men were arrested after a man found seriously injured in Masbrough late on Tuesday, March 2, was linked to a “break-in” at the Cross Keys.

An ambulance crew had alerted officers after finding the injured man on New Wortley Road in Masbrough - around a mile away – and had taken him to hospital, a spokeswoman said.

South Yorkshire Police later confirmed all four men had been released on bail pending further inquiries.
