Family pay tribute to "beautiful grandma" who died in Thrybergh collision

A DEVASTATED family have paid tribute to their "loving, caring and beautiful grandma" who died after a collision involving a car in Thrybergh.

Ann Cassidy was at the junction between Park Lane and Park Close at 5pm on May 27 when the collision with a Seat Altica happened.

The 81-year-old, who was taken to hospital but died the following day, was formally named by police today (Tuesday).

Her family said: "Words cannot express how devastated we are with the loss of a beautiful, loving caring, wife, mum, grandma and great granny.

"We're not sure how we'll carry on, our lives will never be the same again. RIP our beautiful lady."

Anyone who witnessed or has information about the collision is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 650 of May 27.
