Pedestrian dies after Thrybergh collision

AN ELDERLY woman died after a collision with a car in Thrybergh.

Police said a blue Seat Atica had been in collision with a pedestrian at the junction of Park Lane and Park Close at around 5pm last Thursday (May 27).

The pedestrian, an 81-year-old woman, had been taken to hospital by ambulance but died from her injuries on Friday evening, police said.

"The woman’s family have been informed and are being supported by trained family liaison officers," added a police spokeswoman. 

"The driver of the car is assisting officers with inquiries."

Police want to hear from anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident. Anyone with information should call 101, quoting incident number 650 of May 27.
