A DECISION on Richie Smallwood's future at Rotherham United is imminent.
The defensive midfielder is one of three out-of-contract players to be offered new deals, with defender Joe Mattock having already agreed to extend his stay and the club hopeful that Richard Wood will follow suit.
Smallwood, who finished the season in good form, is sure to have options, hence the delay.

"We were hoping for an answer yesterday," assistant manager Richie Barker told the Advertiser. "This is the most complicated of the three and the reason the decision has taken as long as it has is that maybe Richie has caught a few people's attention.
"If he decides not to stay, we have other players we will move on to. Hopefully we will get an answer one way or another in the next day or so."
