ROTHERHAM United have announced that defender Joe Mattock has agreed a new two-year-deal with the club.

The 27-year-old left-back was out of contract at the end of the season but has put pen to paper to be part of the squad which attacks League One following relegation from the Championship.

Mattock joined the Millers from South Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday in 2015 and has turned out 73 times to date, scoring one goal.

The former West Brom and Brighton man made 37 appearances last season.

Out-of-contract duo Richie Smallwood and Richard Wood are still considering new deals from the club.
