Combine harvester on fire in Rotherham

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a combine harvester fire in Rotherham last night.

It is believed to have started accidentally at 10.30pm on Brecks Lane in Herringthorpe.

Firefighters from Rotherham and Aston stations attended the incident and left the scene around 11.40pm.

Another fire crew was sent out to Kimberworth at 11.40pm to deal with grassland and bush fire on Droppingwell Road.

It took 45 minutes for the service to deal with the deliberate fire incident at 12.15am.     

A crew was also sent to Wombwell to deal with another deliberate grassland and trees fire.

Elm Lane station firefighters were called to Bradbury Balk Lane at 8.15pm.  

They left at 9.35pm.
