Cannabis farm worth £350,000 discovered in Rotherham pub

A £350,000 cannabis farm was discovered in a disused pub in Rotherham Town Centre yesterday (Tuesday).

Police officers made the discovery at the former Mason’s Arms pub in Wellgate at around 3pm.

A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said: “Officers seized 350 cannabis plants from a disused building on Wellgate. 

“The street value of these plants is up to £350,000. 

“Two people were arrested but released with no further action to be taken. 

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
