String of vehicles set on fire during the weekend

A NUMBER of vehicles were set alight over the weekend in the borough.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 1.45am on Saturday on Fitzwilliam Road, Eastwood.

Firefighters from Rotherham station attended the incident. They left at 2.20am.

Another car was found on fire at 8.45pm last night on Blyth Road, Maltby.

Firefighters from Maltby station was called to the scene and was there until 9.10pm.

A crew from Edlington station were sent to a deliberate van fire at 9,20pm on Wheatley Place, Denaby Main.

The crew left the scene at 9.45pm.
