Seven-year-old hurt in collision with car

A SEVEN-year-old girl was taken to hospital following a collision with a car.

Police were called at 3.50pm on Saturday (Sept 26) to the incident on Church Street in Swinton. 

A grey Mazda saloon and a child, believed to be a seven-year-old girl, were involved in the collision near to St Margaret’s Church where the Swinton Scarecrow Festival was being held.

A police spokeswoman said that the child was taken to hospital but her injuries are not thought to be serious.
