Schools open, buses running as Rotherham gets back to work

ROTHERHAM was getting back to normal today after the disruption caused by yesterday’s bad weather.

All the borough’s schools were due to re-open as normal today except for Swinton Fitzwilliam, which was due to open at 10am.

All the main routes into Rotherham were reported to be operating freely again.

First Rotherham reported that buses were running as usual again with the exception of Service 33 not serving Haworth Estate, services 39, 40 and 43 not serving the service roads at Kimberworth and service 34 towards Rotherham not serving Meadowbank

Tates Travel report that Service 24 is not serving Green Moor, Service 25 is not serving Dunford Bridge and the Service 409 School bus has been suspended.

Met Office forecasters say the rest of the week will be cold and icy with isolated flurries of snow.

There is a chance of more snow on Friday, followed by milder conditions and rain on Saturday.
