"Magic of Christmas" to be brought to Rotherham pub with lights switch on & more planned
“We are bringing the magic of Christmas right to the heart of our community”
A Rotherham pub is inviting people to “bring the magic of Christmas right to the heart of the community” with a number of seasonal events.
The Plough Wingfield is hosting a Community Christmas Light Switch-on from 4pm-8pm on November 28 with festive market stalls, a live singer, and an appearance by Santa and Mrs Claus.

Kyle Tomlinson-Barnes, landlord of the pub on Roughwood Road, said: “We are bringing the magic of Christmas right to the heart of our community!
“This event was made possible because our local community pulled together, raised the funds, and made it happen with heart and soul.
“That’s the real difference - we are a community that stands together.
“As well as the Big Light Switch-on, the fabulous Miss Marina Mae will be performing live and there will be festive market stalls to pick up unique local gifts and festive treats.
“And we are also bringing joy to the kids on December 20 when I will be dressing as Santa and going round the streets of Wingfield!
“Let’s gather and bring Christmas cheer to the community that always has our backs.
“Wrap up warm and come celebrate with us!”
