Big-hearted Francesca loses locks to raise funds
A KIND-HEARTED 12-year-old girl has lost her long locks – while smashing her fundraising target – all for a “wonderful cause.”
Francesca Lockwood chose to have her long hair cut and donated to the Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides real-hair wigs to children and young people experiencing hair loss.

And the youngster, from Wath, also smashed her fundraising target for the charity of £700.
Mum Melissa Lockwood said: “Francesca, who has Down syndrome, is determined to help others and was so excited about the cut – she had told everyone that her hair has gone to 'help other boys and girls who don't have any hair'.
“She surpassed her fundraising target just in time for her hair cut and after the cut she was thrilled!
“Francesca couldn't stop touching her hair at all.
“She's really happy with her new hair and everyone who's seen it has said just how much it suits her, too.
“As her mum I thought it might be strange seeing her with shorter hair but she looks lovely.
“And her sister Lizzie is also happy as she loved styling her sister's long hair and there's still enough length in Francesca's hair for her to do cute styles with it like she's always done.
“I measured the length of hair cut and it was a whopping 18 inches long.
“We are so proud of her.
“Thanks once again to each and every person that's supported Francesca by giving to this wonderful cause.”
