Overnight fires involving derelict building, grassland and a greenhouse

A PROPERTY blaze at Dalton was among several deliberate incidents dealt with overnight by firefighters.

Crews from Rotherham and Maltby stations attended a derelict building on Doncaster Road at 7.10pm. They were there over an hour.

Grassland was set alight at Hungerhill Road, Kimberworth Park. Firefighters from Rotherham station attended at 8.45pm.

There were also deliberate fires involving two wheelie bins on Auburn Road in Edlington at 8.25pm, a skip at Roughwood Road in Wingfield at 10.35pm and a van on South Drive in Bolton-on-Dearne just after 11pm.

Parkway firefighters were called out to a clothing recycling bin on fire at Broom Valley Road at 1am.

There was also an accidental blaze involving a greenhouse at 5.30am on Goodwin Road in Wingfield.
