Paranormal Friends co-founder and spiritualist medium Veronica Extance said: “The site on which the present building stands has a varied history going back centuries and during my initial walk around I felt I encountered a number of spirits from different time periods and am excited at being able to go back and seeing what is in store for us.
“As I live so close, I have always wanted to get into this building to investigate, which makes this event even more exciting.”
Built in 1770, the Grade II-listed building was a private mansion until bought by Wath Town Council for £2,500 in 1892 for use as a town hall.

Members of the public will have the chance to join the team on their investigation on Saturday, September 30.
The group will use a combination of spiritual and scientific methods including glass divination, table-tipping, K2 meters and a spirit box.
Tickets cost £25 for the investigation, which runs between 9pm and 2am.
Hot drinks and biscuits will be provided on the night.
