Football team scores big with new sponsorship

AHOY there, ship mates!

The Under 12s Greasbrough Orange FC team has achieved the goal of an away kit – for the first time – after a local McDonald’s franchisee stepped up.

Franco Ventura, who owns and operates ten restaurants across South Yorkshire, has become the new sponsor of the Under 12s Greasbrough Orange FC team.

The sponsorship will support the team by providing new kit and training equipment for the current season and seasons ahead.

Ian Bentley, the head coach at Greasbrough Orange FC, said: “This sponsorship has enabled us to provide the team with an away kit for the first time, something that simply wasn’t possible before due to limited funding.

“We chose a bold, fun design and the players absolutely love wearing it.

“Parents have also commented on how much they like the fresh new look and it’s been fantastic to see everyone so proud to wear it.

“We can’t thank Rotherham Stonerow Way McDonald’s enough for their generosity and support.

“Their sponsorship has made a real difference to the team, and we hope this partnership continues for many years to come.”

McDonald’s franchisee Franco Ventura and his restaurants have supported grassroots football in the local community for many years through the McDonald’s Fun Football programme.

Franco and his team regularly show their support for young players across South Yorkshire, with all ten of his restaurants partnered with local grassroots teams.

Franco Ventura said: “Supporting grassroot football is an important part of our commitment to the local community and we’re proud to back young players through our restaurants.

“I’m pleased that we’re able to support Greasbrough Orange FC with new kit and training equipment, helping the team both on and off the pitch.

“We wish the players success for the season ahead and look forward to following their progress.”

This week the following Clipper Club members are celebrating their birthday.
