Arsonists strike three times overnight in borough

FIREFIGHTERS spent an hour and a half tackling deliberate vehicle and rubbish blazes started by arsonists in Rotherham last night.

A transit van was deliberately set on fire at 7.05pm on Turnshaw Road, Ulley.

Firefighters from Aston Park attended the incident and left the scene half an hour later. 

A vehicle was then deliberately set on fire at 8.20pm on Hough Lane, Wombwell.

A crew from Dearne station attended the incident, and came away at 9pm.

Firefighters from Aston Park then attended a deliberate fire involving rubbish at 9pm on Smallage Lane, Fence, Rotherham.

They were there until 9.25pm.
