Rotherham Running Club hosts 'lift the curfew' event aimed at supporting women as dark nights draw in
Rotherham Running Club hosted the annual ‘lift the curfew’ social run this week as more than 80 runners took part in this display of unity aimed at supporting women who feel their safety is compromised as the dark nights draw in.

Let’s lift the curfew is about making sure no woman has to feel they have to change when, where or how they get active because of safety concerns.
As the amazing turnout set off on the hour long run, they were led around Rotherham’s landmarks such as the famous chapel on the bridge and the beautiful All Saints Church.
Runners from far and wide attended with many Sheffield running clubs nipping over the border to show their support.
It all ended with a well deserved social drink hosted by the Vetro Lounge.
