Young man fled to village hall for help during "antisocial" incident

A YOUNG man fled into a village hall after being chased by men in two 4x4s, police said.
The man had been chased by the vehicles on Green Arbour Road, Thurcroft, at 7pm on Tuesday and then the field outside the Gordon Bennett Memorial Hall in an “antisocial manner”.

Hide AdIt was claimed on social that the men had been wearing balaclavas and brandishing bladed weapons — something the police have denied.
However, no-one was reported injured and the vehicles had left the scene by the time the police arrived.
A spokesperson for the police said: “Anyone with information is asked to report it via the online portal of our website or by calling 101 quoting incident number 745 of August 9.”
