Wickersley man denies abusing two schoolgirls

A WICKERSLEY man accused of sexually abusing two girls more than 40 years ago has denied the offences.

Mark Andrews (58), of Pinchfield Lane, pleaded not guilty to 26 offences, including rape, indecent assault and indecency with a child, at Sheffield Crown Court today (Monday).

He is accused of committing offences against two girls between 1975 and 1984 when he would have been in his late teens and early 20s.

The complainants were aged under 13 when the offences are alleged to have begun.

Andrews was granted unconditional bail and will stand trial at Sheffield Crown Court on June 10.
