Wanted thief still on the run from police after Christmas burglary

A SUSPECTED thief is still at large after an aggravated burglary committed last Christmas.

Police said two men — aged 22 and 28 — had been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and released under investigation.

Officers said they had been unsuccessful in tracking Smith down.

They are appealing for information regarding his whereabouts but warned against approaching him directly.

A police spokesperson said: “If you see Smith, please do not approach him but instead call 999. 

“If you have any other information about where he might be, you can contact us via our new online live chat, our online portal or by calling 101.

“Please quote incident number 657 of December 27, 2021, when you get in touch.”
