VIDEO: Major fire at Kiveton industrial estate for third time in six weeks

FIRE crews were called to the same industrial estate for at least the third time in six weeks to tackle yet another blaze.

Residents in Kiveton Park reported unpleasant smells this morning from the smoke caused by the latest fire at Kiveton Park Industrial Estate.

South Yorkshire Fire Service said at 7.30am that they had dispatched six fire engines, an aerial appliance and a high volume pump to the scene, with firefighters from Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service and North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service helping them deal with the incident.

Crews were also called out on August 12 and September 9.

One social media users suggested today’s fire was the second within three days.

She said: “The smell in my house this morning is awful !!!! As a resident what the hell am I breathing in? This is the second fire in 3 days!!! Why is this happening?”

Another added: “If we can smell it we are inhaling it.

“This has been on fire on and off all over the weekend

“The fire Brigade made three visits in 24 hours on Sunday to Monday.”
