Hide AdA report on the Swallownest branch said it had only 112 regular customers and counter transactions had fallen by a third since 2012.
Three-quarters of these customers also banked online, phone or using a cash machine, the company said.
Rotherham MP Sarah Champion said on the announcement in May that it would not only “take access and choice away from customers, it also weakens the overall offer of our town centre”.
RBS Group announced last December that Dinnington’s NatWest branch was set for the axe.
RBS said in a statement about the latest planned closures yesterday that customers would be able to use NatWest branches and local post offices for their everyday banking needs.
