South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue called to accidental house fire in Thurnscoe

Firefighters said the fire, which was accidental, had involved “a consumer unit”.

A CONSUMER unit at a house was on fire in a string of overnight incidents.

Fire crews from Dearne, Adwick and Edlington stations attended a property on Whin Gardens in the Thurnscoe area at 1.05am.

They came away at 2.15am.

Crews were also called out to a deliberate rubbish fire at 9.40pm on St James Close in the Wath area.

The unit left the scene 40 minutes later.

Firefighters from Rotherham station attended a deliberate bin fire at 4.10am on Fenton Road, Kimberworth Park.

The crew left the scene 20 minutes later.
