Second arrest in connection with Mexborough stabbing

The 29-year-old Mexborough woman has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and is in police custody, a spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said.

Earlier, a 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding. He is also in police custody.

Officers were called to Hartley Street roundabout at around 2.55pm yesterday (Thursday) and a 22-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He is in a stable condition.
