Save Our NHS march to mark anniversary

A GROUP campaigning to save the NHS will mark its 70th birthday with gatherings to highlight its importance next week.

Rotherham Save Our NHS will hold a rally in All Saints’ Square on Thursday, July 5, handing a birthday card to Rotherham borough councillors.

The event will run for about 90 minutes from 11.30am, including live music performances.

Next Saturday, July 7, will see the group gather outside Rotherham Hospital at around 11.30am, alongside friends from South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Save Our NHS.

They will then march into the town centre for another meeting, also in All Saints’ Square.

The same evening, from 7.30pm, Rotherham Save Our NHS will meet at The Trades on Greasbrough Road for music, poetry and talks by speakers including Naveen Judah, South Yorkshire Save Our NHS candidate for mayor of the Sheffield City Region.

Rotherham Save Our NHS meets each Monday night at The Trades from 7pm.
