Officers began today’s Duxford duties at 7am and gathered for a 2pm briefing outside Riverside House before another shift of officers took over.
Assistant Chief Constable David Hartley told the officers it was important to note the force’s improvements in the eyes of inspectors from His Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services.
But he added: “What I’m more interested in is what our communities say about us. They are not yet saying we are outstanding, we not yet getting ‘absolutely brilliant’.”

He added: “It’s just a shame our communities don’t get to see it routinely. There have been some great results.”
