Ride-out send-off for Kiveton crash victim Mason Hall

A RIDE-OUT of quad bikes was arranged for the send-off for one of three friends killed in a road crash.

Mason Hall (18, below left) died alongside mates Ryan Geddes (19, below centre) and Martin Ward (18, below right) when the car they were travelling in hit a tree in Kiveton Park last month.

Mason’s funeral yesterday at Rotherham Crematorium was the last of the three friends’ send-offs, after Ryan’s farewell service was held at St John the Baptist Church in Wales and Martin’s took place at Grenoside Crematorium.

The funeral procession through East Herringthorpe included a group of quad bikes and a flatbed lorry carrying a lifesize cardboard cutout of Mason and photo collages of him from toddler to teenager.

The service for Mason, of Woodhouse, was relayed by speakers so it could be followed by those unable to get into the crematorium.

Police are investigating the cause of the fatal collision on October 24.
