£49,000 Lottery win for Clifton Park Museum
The scheme will include a young curators group developing a temporary exhibition and various new training for staff and volunteers.
The Place Makers: Future Shapers project is being funded through a National Lottery Heritage Fund grant.

“We are committed to encouraging participation from our young people and this project will deliver long-term changes to encourage them to participate and engage with their local heritage.”
The project will focus on grade II-listed Clifton Park Museum and the surrounding communities of Clifton, East Dene and Herringthorpe.
The building was constructed in 1783 for the renowned Walker family of industrial pioneers and became Rotherham’s municipal museum in 1893.
