Paul 'Chuckle' Elliott "devastated" after brother Jimmy dies aged 87 - a year after Barry

CHUCKLE brother Paul Elliott says he is "devastated" after the death of his eldest brother Jimmy Patton - which comes just a year after younger brother and comedy partner Barry passed away.

Paul's manager, Phil Dale said 87-year-old Jimmy - who was also part of a comedy duo The Patton Brothers with fourth Elliott brother Brian - passed away peacefully in his home with wife Amy by his side in the early hours of this morning (Friday). 

Jimmy was also known as the third Chuckle Brother after appearing on seveal episodes of ChuckleVision himself.

Paul said: "I am devastated. So few words for the loss of another dearly loved brother."

Jimmy's daughter Debbie paid tribute to her dad on Facebook this afternoon, describing him as a "wonderful, charming, kind, funny and super talented".

The cause of his death has not yet been confirmed.

Brother Barry died in August last year aged 73 (pictured below) from bone cancer
