Man's body recovered from River Dearne
Residents had first reported sightings of a body in the river around 7.40pm on Friday.
THE death of a man whose body of was recovered from the River Dearne in the Manvers area is not thought to be suspicious, police said.
A spokesperson said the man had been pronounced dead at the scene by emergency services.
They added: “An investigation is underway to establish the circumstances which led to the man’s death.
“We do not believe his death was suspicious.”
