Man in custody after Flanderwell stabbing
A MAN has appeared in court charged with stabbing a man in Flanderwell on Saturday (July 7).
Martin Hoyland (41), of Reynolds Close, Rotherham, has been charged with wounding and possession of a bladed article after a man was stabbed on Markfield Drive at 9pm.
The 37-year-old victim suffered three stab wounds to his thigh and buttock, said a police spokesman.
Hoyland did not enter a plea when he appeared at Sheffield Magistrates' Court yesterday (Monday).
He was remanded into custody and will next appear at Sheffield Crown Court on August 6.
