Man arrested on suspicion of murder following reported 'stabbing' at Hellaby Industrial estate

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a reported “stabbing” at an industrial estate.

Police were called to FedEx on Rother Way, Hellaby, at 9.39am after a 60-year-old man was found in a “critical condition”.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers said a 48-year-old man from Sheffield had been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody. 

Witnesses said a Yorkshire Air Ambulance helicopter had landed at the site, where crime scene investigation vehicles also attended.

Det Chief Simon Palmer, leading the investigation, said: “We are working hard to establish the circumstances of this tragic incident, which we know will be causing concern in the community. 

“Our officers remain on the scene while we carry out our enquiries.”

Yorkshire Ambulance Service have been approached for comment regarding the incident.
