Man (26) appears in court charged with Balby attempted murder


Benedict Zvekare, of St John's Road, Doncaster, appeared at Doncaster Magistrates' Court on Friday charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon in connection with a reported stabbing on Balby Road, Balby, last Monday.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear before Sheffield Crown Court at a later date, police said.

Hide AdPolice were called to Balby Road, Balby, at 2.20pm last Monday, and a man (26) was taken to hospital with suspected stab wounds.
He remains in hospital in a stable condition, police said.
Three other men have been arrested in connection with the incident – a 30-year-old man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, and two men aged 40 and 19, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, a police spokeswoman said.
All three have been bailed pending further enquiries, she added.
