Jury out in Lewis Williams murder trial
A JURY has retired to consider its verdicts in the trial of five men and boys accused of murdering Lewis Williams.
The five on trial are Jack Parkes (21), of Arnold Crescent, Mexborough; Ryan Nisbet (20), of Springwood Road, Hoyland; Joe Anderton (18), of Jubilee Road, Wheatley, Doncaster, and two youths age 17 and 16 who cannot be named for legal reasons.
They are all accused of the murder of Mr Williams (20), of Swinton, last January, which they deny.
Mr Williams was shot on Wath Road in Mexborough in what the prosecution have described as a “planned execution”, allegedly over a dispute about a car.
