Jail for paedophile who abused schoolboys

Christopher Dilkes (42), of Warwick Street, Rotherham, was sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court yesterday (Tuesday) to ten years in prison plus one-year extended licence.
Dilkes targeted the schoolboys, who were all aged under 16, between the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Det Con Emma Parsons said: “In 2016, one of Dilkes’ victims made the brave decision to report years of sexual abuse and we launched an investigation.
“Our enquiries revealed several more victims, each of whom has demonstrated exceptional courage to share with officers the horrific abuse they faced at Dilkes’ hands.
“Dilkes has pleaded guilty to his crimes and is now in prison, where he can cause no further harm.
