Hospital trust given £1.95m to prepare for winter


The Government announced 117 trusts across the country will be given a share of the £300m pot of funding.
In the North East and Yorkshire, 21 hospital trusts will be given a total of £53.7m – £1.95m of that will be allocated to The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust.

Hide AdThe money has been allocated to help trusts upgrade their A&E facilities, help the NHS prepare for winter and the risk from further outbreaks of coronavirus.
Nearby, Barnsley's hospital trust will receive £3.971m, and Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will get £1.85m
Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust has been allocated £2.049m and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will be awarded £1.7m.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson said: "We continue to deliver on our promise to build back better and faster, with £300million allocated for NHS trusts to update their facilities and improve A&E capacity.
