Girl gang raped in Sherwood Forest by three men, court told


The woman said the men “used her like a piece of meat” and she had kept her pregnancy secret from her mum for “as long as possible”.
Nabeel Kurshid (34), of Weetwood Road, Rotherham, and Iqlak Yousaf (34), of Tooker Road, Rotherham, are accused of raping the girl between 2002 and 2003 when she was 14 or 15.

Hide AdThe assault is said to have taken place in Sherwood Forest. A third man, who was said to be involved in the rape, has never been identified.
Kurshid and Yousaf are on trial at Sheffield Crown Court alongside six other men who are accused of 28 child sexual exploitation offences against five girls. The men deny all the offences.
Today, jurors watched a series of recorded police interviews made in the last few years with the complainant.
During one interview a police officer asked her: “What do you remember happening at Sherwood Forest?”

Hide AdThe woman, who is now 31-years-old, said: “All three of them having sex with me.
“They gave me love bites all over.
“I had to go home that night and I had to hide them from my mum with a polo neck top.”
The woman said she had school the next day and had to make “every excuse under the sun” to hide her neck.
She said she became pregnant following the incident and had a termination.

Hide Ad“I left it as long as possible before telling mum but I got morning sickness and she noticed,” she said.
The woman told police that the men had never told her where they were going on the night of the alleged incident
She added: “They said; ‘We are going for a quick drive in this car’.”
The woman said she thought the men had bitten her because “they were trying to make me look like a slag”.

Hide AdShe said none of the three men abused her again after the Sherwood Forest incident.
“They just used and abused you and then they found someone else to go on to,” she said.
“They are not bothered — you’re just there all the time for their convenience.
“They used you like a piece of meat — they were all the same.”
The woman said the men would pick on anyone they thought was an “easy target”.
