“Lawmakers cannot be lawbreakers, and no-one is above the law.
“Britain deserves better from its government and both should resign."

Hide AdRotherham MP Sarah Champion echoed the call for resignations, saying: “It turns my stomach that while people in Rotherham made huge personal sacrifices to abide by Covid rules, our prime minister and chancellor decided they were exempt.
“Worse, they were the people who made the laws and threatened us to keep them, while they partied.

“What else do they feel they can ignore for their own benefit?
“For once they should do the right thing and resign.
It is understood the prime minister’s wife, Carrie Johnson, is also among those to be fined.
A No 10 spokesman said the PM and chancellor “have today received notification that the Metropolitan Police intend to issue them with fixed penalty notices”.
