Cyclist dies after collision with a car in Whiston

Despite the crew’s efforts, the 54-year-old man died from his injuries. 

A CYCLIST died after a crash in Whiston on Sunday.

The Yorkshire Air Ambulance were sent on Pleasley Road around 1.20pm after reports the cyclist had involved in a collision with a car.

Police said formal identification has yet to take place but confirmed they were supporting his family. 

An investigation has opened with members of the public asked to send dash-cam footage of the crash.

A spokesperson for the police said: “If you have any information, please contact us via live chat, our online portal or by calling 101 and quoting incident number 416 of September 4.”
