Community centre closed after individual tests positive for Covid-19

A spokesperson for The Centre on Brinsworth Lane said the premises would be closed for the rest of the week. 

"We have received notification that someone who has visited The Centre has tested positive for Covid-19," said a spokesperson.

"Unfortunately this means The Centre will need to close for the rest of this week so we can complete a deep clean and ensure our staff are all tested.

"We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you but everyone’s safety is our primary concern."

The spokesperson added that the person who had tested positive for the virus was believed to had visited the facility on Saturday. 

The Centre is set to reopen on Monday, August 17.
