POLICE have released CCTV of a woman they wish to speak to in relation to an assault at Tesco in Rotherham town centre.

It was reported that a woman in her 30s was in the lift at the Drummond Street store asked another woman not to get in because of Covid concerns.

Police said the second woman entered the lift, hit the other woman with her trolley, pushed her and made racist comments.

A spokesperson added: “We now want to speak to the woman in the CCTV images as we believe she may be able to assist with our enquiries. Do you recognise her?"

“If you can help, please call 101 quoting incident number 322 of November 5.”
