Cannabis farm found in town centre building
A CANNABIS farm has been discovered in Rotherham town centre – just a stone’s throw from where another major growing operation was found last month.
Police found the set-up when they raided a former private club on Moorgate Street yesterday evening.
It comes just six weeks after cannabis and growing equipment was found at the disused former Cross Keys pub at the top end of Moorgate Street – just across the road from the Town Hall.
South Yorkshire Police said two men had fled but later been arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis.
