Bus station re-opens after collision involving elderly woman
POLICE and firefighters were called out this morning (Wednesday) after a woman was trapped under a bus outside Rotherham Interchange.
Emergency services attended the Bridgegate end of the station after the incident was reported shortly after 10am.

Hide AdA South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “This incident was a road traffic collision involving a bus and a 79-year-old woman.”
She was rescued from beneath the bus by emergency workers and taken to hospital by ambulance. Her injuries are believed to be serious but not life-threatening.
The interchange was closed while the incident was dealt with but has since re-opened.
South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue sent three fire engines and there was a strong police presence to deal with a build-up of traffic.
