Arsonists strike four times overnight

Crews were first called out to a deliberate grass fire at 7.15pm on Barnsley Road, Darfield.

They crew left the scene at 7.35pm.

Firefighters from Edlington station attended a deliberate rubbish on Gordon Road, Edlington, at 8:15pm, leaving at 8.30pm.

A car was deliberately set on fire at 8.15pm on School Street, Thurnscoe.

A crew from Dearne station spent 50 minutes dealing the blaze.

Firefighters from Edlington station also tackled a deliberate rubbish fire at 3.20am on Low Road, Balby.

The crew left the scene at 3.40am.

Elsewhere over the weekend,three fire crews from Aston, Birley and Maltby stations were called out to an accidental garage fire at 11.10am on Melbourne Avenue, Aston.

The incident was dealt with by 12.05pm.
