Appeal launched to give road crash tragedy victim Julie Gibson "the send-off she deserves"

FRIENDS of a woman who tragically died in a road accident have launched an online appeal to help give her a stirring send-off.

 

Now family friends Sarah Kendrick and Emma Bailey have started a GoFundMe page to help fund Julie’s funeral.

In a message on the appeal page, they said: “Even to those that she had just met, with her warm and friendly personality, she was liked by many. 

“We have all been affected by the devastating news.

“To Julie nothing was ever a problem, she would do anything to help, no matter how big or small. 

“She was truly a lovely woman and a great friend, which has been shown by the heartfelt condolences offered to her family from far and wide. 

“She will leave a gap in many lives. She will be sadly missed and will forever be in our thoughts.”

The fundraisers said they wanted to help the family “with any financial costs that may arise in memory of their sweet Julie”, adding: “We are well aware we are all facing financial hardship at present, therefore any contribution would be very much appreciated. 

“We would like to help her family give her the memorial she truly deserves.

“Rest in peace to our wonderful friend Julie.”

Julie’s family said the faith in love she gave them would never disappear.

The family tribute continued: “My mum was the reason my dad believes in love and that will never escape him. We won't let this beat us and are prepared to fight for our mum till the very end. 

“We are forever grateful for the continued love, support and compassion shown by each and every individual in this time of need. 

“We love and miss you dearly, Always and forever.”

A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and have been bailed pending further inquiries.

Witnesses are asked to contact the police by calling 101 quoting incident number 150 of July 11.
