Another busy night for firefighters battling blazes

FIRE crews spent an hour and a half tackling blazes after arsonists struck three times overnight

Firefighters from Edlington station first attended a deliberate fire involving branches, grass and leaves at 7.50pm on Lilly Hall Road, Maltby.

The crew came away at 8.30pm.

Dearne firefighters were called out to a deliberate rubbish fire at 9.30pm on Aldham House Lane, Wombwell.

They left the scene at 9:50pm.

A wheelie bin was later deliberately set on fire at 1.10am on St Leonards Lane in Eastwood.

Firefighters from Rotherham station attended the incident, coming away at 1.45am.

Elsewhere Aston Park firefighters were called out to an accidental fire in a field on Aughton Lane, Aston at 7.15pm last night.

The crew left the scene at 8pm.
