Young presenters show they are tuned in to radio

BUDDING radio presenters at Catcliffe Primary School proved they were on the right wavelength when they launched their very own station.

BBC Radio Sheffield breakfast presenter Toby Foster gave the youngsters a helping hand with the launch during a visit to the Rotherham Road school on Wednesday.

Following the visit, the pupils will now broadcast the top five stories from their school on Toby’s show every Friday morning.

Toby said: “The kids from Catcliffe Primary School first came to see us before Christmas and they were really interested to see what we did at the station. We showed them around and had a great day with them. Then they told us about their radio station so we came down here to the school.

“It's an amazing setup. We listened to what they had produced and were blown away by it - so much so that we decided we wanted it on our station.”
