WHAT'S ON: Ulley

COUNTRY PARK: A meeting of the Friends of Ulley Country Park was held on September 10. Chairperson Mrs Hillman opened the meeting with approval of the progress report. The park manager’s report included the stewardship plan which has a flock of sheep to graze in the grounds. The water level of the lake is to be dropped to allow inspection of the road bridge. Committee members gave their individual reports and future events were discussed such as the café days in September and October. A halloween event is to be held on October 31 and a tombola on October 18’s café day. The tenth AGM is on November 26 with a presentation on progress made in the park since the Friends of Ulley Country Park were formed. The next committee meeting is on October 8.
